Talking2Lips Quick Facts
During the initial evaluation, your child will undergo a comprehensive assessment to determine their speech and language abilities and/or reading skills and/or orofacial myofunctional skills. This includes standardized tests, informal assessments and clinical observations. The speech therapist will collect information about your child's medical history, developmental milestones and any concerns you or others may have. Based on the evaluation, the therapist will provide their therapy recommendations and if needed, a personalized treatment plan will be formed.
Therapy sessions involve interactive activities that may include games, storytelling, play-based activities and exercises designed to improve specific skills. The speech therapist will provide updates on progress and may adjust the treatment plan as needed.
The frequency of sessions depends on your child's individual needs and the severity of their speech/language/reading/orofacial myofunctional issues. Typically, children attend therapy sessions once or twice a week. We offer a 60 minute session (includes 50 minutes of direct clinician/child work while the remaining 10 minutes are for a recap with the parent, a creation of a progress note, and therapy room cleaning).
We primarily offer in-person services at our therapy location. If your child is a good candidate, we offer teletherapy services to accommodate your needs and preferences. Our in-person sessions are conducted in our therapy office, providing a structured environment with access to various therapeutic tools and resources. Teletherapy sessions are conducted online, allowing for flexible scheduling and the convenience of receiving therapy from home.

We are out of network (OON) for insurances but can provide you with documentation to submit for reimbursement to your insurance company. A superbill does not guarantee you reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance provider for applicability prior to scheduling. Out-of-pocket medical expenses are a tax write-off.
We accept HSA, FSA, and credit card through our secure patient portal.
We are currently in the process of becoming a "Direct-Pay-Provider" through the Step Up for Students Florida Scholarship.
